The Protomen – Act 1
While cruising the tubes today I ran across this Protomen quote splattered on a facebook wall.
He was a loner, a thinker, a man of ideas.
Ideas forbidden in Wily’s society.
The society in which he lived.
The society for which he worked.
The society he would set free.
Intrigued by the narritive and MegaMan reference, I googled it and it lead to me their website, with their stunningly artwork and killer songs. Further digging lead me to this page, now buried, it was my first glimpse into The Protomen a year ago. A music video to their song “Hope Rides Alone” , this video is an animated work of art taking hand-drawn characters, composite photos, and found-footage to create an erie atmosphere of a war-torn future in the year 200X. It’s worth a watch for sure, and check out more of The Protomen at their website.
