This is my remix of Starbomb’s super smash hit “Minecraft Is For Everyone” from the album Player Select!

I spent over a billion hours hand-sculpting over 41,000 samples per second to give your ears the warm tender loving they so desperately need! Starbomb is the internet supergroup comprised of animator Arin Hanson (also known as “Egoraptor”), Danny Avidan and Brian Wecht of American comedy duo Ninja Sex Party. Wow, Wikipedia sure has some great bios these days.

Arin and Danny are also known for their “work” on the YouTube channel, Game Grumps! You know, it’s the one where the guys do the thing with the games and everybody laughs. Seriously, they’re a blast to watch, check out their channel – http://youtube.com/gamegrumps

Rhythmus Records – A Boston-based Chiptune / Lo-fi Electronica Label

Rhythmus Records, a new Boston­-based record label focusing on lo­fi, chiptune and chip music. The flagship album includes music from international chiptune acts, Fade Runner (Canada), Sugarpunch! (from Holland) and Coco Lowres (Germany). 12 artists are planned to release exclusive EPs starting in winter 2015.

Artists from within the US involve two scenes; Boston 8­-Bit, and the greater American chip scenes including artists, RobotSexMusic and NickelPUNK. Mastering and graphic design came courtesy of Jeremy Highhouse at ViuLab in Portland, Oregon. Look out for up and coming young stars such as New England’s The Unicorn Princess. Kick off parties in Salem, Mass and in Portland, Oregon in Dec and January 2015.

bLiNd – Nocturnalism: Video Game Remixer releases full-length original EDM album

bLiNd - NocturnalismbLiNd, the producer best known for his video game remixes with GameChops and Overclocked Remix has just released his debut original album. The album contains 12 tracks, some of which he has teased on his Soundcloud, page over the past two years. The opening track, Blackened, was included on a compilation released by deadmau5’s label Mau5trap in 2013.

The album comes as nothing less than we’d expect from the producer / engineer with over 15 years experience. Crystal clear house, trance and dance music with masterful sound design and a tempered aesthetic. Download it now on Bandcamp for $7 or pick up a physical copy for $10

Beatscribe Releases Starship Rubicon OST

What started as a humble Kickstarter campaign to build a space shooter game instead of working all summer has blossomed into a massive project for Wick Studios. Now they’ve partnered with Cheerful Ghost and are about to release Starship Rubicon, a massive expansion to the original hit game that combines arcade-like space shooting with strategic and customization RPG elements.

 

Beatscribe has released the  new expanded soundtrack in conjunction with the release of Starship Rubicon. Featuring various retro sounds from the NES and Atari courtesy of plogue chip sounds, the album mixes classic sounds and melodies with modern beats and soundscapes. Also included are some awesome remixes from Inverse Phase and sleepytimejesse.
