GameFaceShow hosted the first ever ChipBattle at Fab Cafe Manchester on February 12th 2016. This was a head-to-head, rap battle style format for gameboy chiptune musicians. The video below is an epic multi-camera shoot with high quality sound that really captures the energy of the battle! Watch two chiptune musicians square off, for only 16 bars each, in three rounds. At the end the crowd decides the winner, but GameFace is also polling their viewers in the YouTube comments and it sounds like there is an upset!
It’s baaack! Monster Mania returns to the Crown Plaza in Cherry Hill, New Jersey this weekend. Monster Mania is described as “the convention by the fans, for the fans.” It’s a great opportunity to hang out with modern and classic heroes of the horror screen, shop for
one-of-a-kind collectables, cosplay and bond with other film geeks.
With summer approaching, and con season on it’s way I thought I’d share some of my tips for convention survival, this applies to massive productions like Wizard World Comic Con and indie cons alike. Heed this advice and by the end of the day you may be a little less worse for the wear.
Preparing ahead of time
Sleep is your friend, a well-rested con goer is a happy con goer. Do yourself and your companions a favor and get a decent amount of sleep the night before the con. This Saturday, February 27th, come out to Philly’s first and only electronic music and gaming concert experience–BOSS WAVE! The event is presented by Amp-X LIVE, J1 Studios, Funkadelphia, and ISpinToys. The event is being held at District N9NE (460 N 9th St). It’s an all day event featuring games and music from 1PM – 2AM.
