ChasingBleeps – Nano

Chasing Bleeps from Scotland set out to make a simple, repetitive and soothing album and he did just that. Nano is based off the soft, round sound produced by chiptune tracker Nanoloop, and the results are lovely. Relaxing, moving Chiptune that’s perfect for doing work, or hanging out by the beach. Love this album, love it even more that it’s name-your-price. Download on Bandcamp and listen below.

halc – Hydrocity

Back in April I started a netlabel for my two favorite things, Chiptunes and Video Game music, called GameChops. Since then, it’s grown faster than I imagined, and today I am pleased to announce the release of a new, free album from the one and only halc.

halc is a composer, remixer and Overclocked Remix judge. His album, Hydrocity, seemlessly fuses chiptune, electro, dubstep, FM funk and jazz. Halc writes:

“Inspired by such visionary minds as Joshua Morse, P Villa, and Savant, this album has everything from chiptune-influenced electro and dubstep to ambient beats, FM funk and jazz fusion, delightfully blended and compiled into a 40-minute package. The album also features an arrangement of the ever-popular ‘Hydrocity Zone’ music from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and guest appearances by fellow OC ReMix legends Level 99 and WillRock.

Knife City’s debut EP

This is the first official (non-sucky ;) release for Knife City, aka Luke Silas. Drummer for chiptune-rock band Anamanaguchi and gameboy thrasher, Knife City brings high-impact dance music that you can’t help but get down to. This EP is five tracks, available from bandcamp for pay-what-you-want. Stream and download from the player below, and support this guy if you can!

Dj CUTMAN & An0va – Strobe (Deadmau5)

It’s my birthday!

To celebrate, I’m releasing a very special chiptune! It’s a collaboration with An0va, an all-gameboy cover of EDM producer and performer Deadmau5! This is an extra exciting track for me, as it is an 100% legal cover thanks to mechanical licensing. It is also (by far) the longest I have spent on a track on LSDj, and working with An0va was a blast!

You can pick up the two versions of this track on Bandcamp!
