Learn something: Treasure Buster tutorial

In it’s initial episode, NorrinRadd22 aka Matt Creamer  will try to teach you about frequency modulation in layman’s terms. Using an oscilloscope and keyboard along with some software, Matt breaks down the information into something anyone can process.

Having just finished music for the game “Treasure Buster” he intends to guide his audience through some of the methods by which the game’s soundtrack was created. Using emulators, and Sega sounds with cubase.

The plan is to release several of these videos over the summer leading up to the release of the game. Matt also has a few other videos on his youtube regarding chiptune composition that are worth a look. You can also check out some of Matt’s music over on his soundcloud.
