THAT’S RIGHT.  A brand spankin’ new SUPER METUL, SUPER BADASS  VGM band is coming to 2nd stage at MAGFest 11 to MELT *ALL* OF THE GORRAM FACES!!!

We’ll be covering the VERY METUL  tracks from the Sega CD version of Lords of Thunder, along with some other fresh  (AND DID I MENTION METUL?!?)  video game music!!

Mykah – Kirby’s Bassface

Today marks the second GameChops release for UK-based video game remixer Mykah. His first was a 5 track bass-music tribute to Zelda as part of The Triforce of Bass, he now turns his attention to a (literally) lighter character, Kirby.

Kirby’s Bassface is a five track EP exploring music from the Kirby series in Mykah’s high energy style. Source material stems from the earlier games, themes from Kirby’s Dreamland for NES and Kirby’s Super Star for SNES make up the album. Originally composed by Jun Ishikawa for Nintendo, Mykah has made these tunes all his own. Get the album now!

Kirby’s Bassface is licensed for Nintendo by JoyPad Records. Those who pay to download the album are directly supporting Mykah and licensed remix projects like this.

Last week I got a WiiU, and felt oddly inspired by that long firmware update that happens as soon as you turn the thing on. I sat content, tidying up my living room and listening to the tunes Nintendo put together to sooth the frayed nerves of excited gamers everywhere. I felt oddly inspired, and created a 9 track album of remixes sampled from the WiiU. Download now from my site:
