November has passed, and for YouTube that means the end of Zelda Month. GameChops veteran and anime superstar dj-Jo was no exception to the celebration, releasing two new Zelda remixes that are utterly fantastic. I’ve gathered them here for your enjoyment:
SidTracker64 is an app that allows you to create chiptune music right from your Ipad. Using emulators of the SID sound chip from Commodore 64 this tracker style sequencer comes pre set with several songs included and tools to create your own.
Sad sack musician Morrissey made much of the soundtrack of many a sullen teen, with chip-tune covers becoming increasingly popular more and more types of music are becoming fodder for 8-bit covers of their former selves.
Created by long time fans of the Fallout series, 8 Bit Weapon have created an interactive art piece while waiting for the release of Fallout 4. The demo game runs as if it were released 1984 on an Apple IIc. Music and sound fx from the Apple II were added later.
Using the Outlaw Editor and a small team of Apple II coders, the group created the demo game. An impressive tribute to say the least filled with retro goodness.
Including references to the Pip-Boy and Deathclaw this is a fun project, clearly made with love. Check out the Fallout 4 trailer below.
