I’ve Discovered Dub-Hop!!
As some of you may know, I’m a hiphop engineer by day. I know this is a chiptune / video game blog, but i gotta shout out this new kind of hip-hop thats evolving in the wake of the dubstep explosion. Artists are calling it “Dub-Hop” and I agree. this music is tough sounding, upbeat, and most importantly, new. I can’t wait for five years from now when we’re sick of music that sounds like this. right now tho, it’s fire.

It’s about time I featured MIXER PRODUCTIONS. Based in the UK, MIXERPROD is a mash-up artist that I’ve been spinning for a few months now. This guy’s Soundcloud is like a library of shit I love, well produced mashups of pop, hip hop and r&b with video game and pop-culture instrumental tracks.
