November has passed, and for YouTube that means the end of Zelda Month. GameChops veteran and anime superstar dj-Jo was no exception to the celebration, releasing two new Zelda remixes that are utterly fantastic. I’ve gathered them here for your enjoyment:
Pulseboy, a web-based 8-bit sequencer created by Roger Hicks is now in Beta and so far the feedback has been good. PulseBoy uses a “tracker” interface to accept note input.
If you’ve ever wanted to play around with making your own chip-tunes this is a great place to start, and Roger’s tutorial below is a user friendly introduction to composing with Pulseboy.
Created by long time fans of the Fallout series, 8 Bit Weapon have created an interactive art piece while waiting for the release of Fallout 4. The demo game runs as if it were released 1984 on an Apple IIc. Music and sound fx from the Apple II were added later.
Using the Outlaw Editor and a small team of Apple II coders, the group created the demo game. An impressive tribute to say the least filled with retro goodness.
Including references to the Pip-Boy and Deathclaw this is a fun project, clearly made with love. Check out the Fallout 4 trailer below.
